The manuscript comprises seven pages of script, the draft of a chapter of Imogen Holst's book about her father. The chapter in question discusses The Planets Suite, Gustav Holst's most famous composition. As a composer herself, she brought a unique understanding of how Holst went aobut his creative pursuits, and wrote extensively and perceptively about her father and his work. Only two chapters of this book are known in manuscript form, thanks to this purchase the Holst Birthplace Museum now owns both.
