A document of great importance for Yorkshire history and the study of open field systems and land division. A secular cartulary, probably drawn up for Thomas Bank of Bank Newton, c. 1433. The survey describes and names the open fields of the manor of Whixley and their subdivisions or flatts and lists the holders of each selion or strip of land within the flatts
