This collection of Romantic literature comprises some 1,400 books by writers of the Romantic period (1750-1850) including Wordsworth, Coleridge, Keats and Shelley. It contains many rarities, both first editions and books in their original boards. It has a set of Shelley first editions unequalled in the UK and its complete set of Keats's lifetime publications is equally rare. The early Wordsworth and Coleridge publications include the almost unique 1800 Lyrical Ballads with the cancelled flyleaf.
