Most of the letters date from before Lloyd George became Prime Minister, and contain comments on both personal and political matters, sometimes written in haste between cabinet meetings and giving his immediate thoughts on the political problems which confronted him. The collection also includes letters from Asquith, Churchill, Bonar Law, Keir Hardie, Herbert Lewis, TE Ellis and DR Daniel. There are working drafts of speeches and the diaries of William and Richard Lloyd (his uncle) which also give valuable insights
