In a magnificent jewelled binding from Trier (illustrated as frontispiece to AR) Presented by John Ehrman in memory of his father Albert Ehrman, creator of the Broxbourne Library, together with some 2,000 other examples of fine bindings one hundred manuscripts and approximately one hundred incunabula. Other highlights include a fine Tudor binding on an Estienne Bible of 1528 for Bishop Cuthbert Tunstall, a superb Royal binding on a Book of Common Prayer by Samuel Mearne and three volumes of the Oxford Xenophon 1735-7 bound by Thomas Sedgley.
