As well as private correspondence of this properous silk merchant the collection includes Beuzevilles correspondence as Director and Joint Treasurer of the French Committee which was concerned from the reign of James II until Victorian times in distributing the Royal Bounty granted for the relief of the necessitous Protestant refugees and their descendants.
