Samuel Cockerells design, commissioned in 1813 was never executed. When the house was inherited by Gibbs Crawford Antrobus in 1827 he turned to Lewis Wyatt for an entirely new house in the Jacobethan style. The Wyatt drawings include four splendid elevations finished in watercolour, all the more important since the house has now been demolished
