Made for Robert of Lakenham, given by him to the priory of St Leonards Norwich. At the Dissolution the Breviary was acquired by the Tollemache family and remained at Helmingham Hall until 1955 when it was sold to Alan Thomas. Bought from the Thomas sale, Sothebys June 1993, Lot 24
