Manuscript score of the Masque in Oedipus

First produced about 1722, this is a set of vocal and orchestral parts, copied in part by James Lewis on 13th February 1758, whose annotations reveal them to have been used at the last recorded performance on 28th December 1786. Lasting only 10 - 15 minutes in performance the work is still of interest as the work of one of the more important English stage composers of the early 18th century
