The gem of these maps depicts the Manor of Little Abington and was made in 1603 by John Norden, one of the foremost Elizabethan and Jacobean topographers. Two further maps are of parts of Abington Hall or Park estate: the earlier (of 1716-17) is by Benjamin Fallowes and the later one (1818) was made by Alexander Watford. The group also contains two good estate copies of the parliamentary inclosure maps for both Abingtons of c. 1800-1803. The Norden map is illustrated in the AR.
