A good day to day account of the Earl of Lindseys expedition to relieve the Hugenot defenders of La Rochelle. Purchased with The Journal of Jeremy Roch 1665-92 a naval captain who had many adventures including shipwreck and capture by French privateers.

A collection of 48 plans of towns in Scotland engraved or lithographed on large scales. The plans give the names of property owners and indications of land use. Very rare, no other copy known in an English library, four only in Scotland

10 of the letters were unpublished at the time of purchase. Eight were written to his sister Nanci, two to her husband Camille Pal and two to his uncle Flix Marmion. They touch on concerts he is giving, his opinion of Liszts conducting as well as more personal feelings for Harriet Smithson
