Title deeds relating chiefly to land in Belgrave but also land at Barrow on Trent in Derbyshire

The deeds are mainly for West Kent parishes, also includes family and estate correspondence of Sir Thomas Roberts and his agent Thomas Redford, plus Redfords legal papers as attorney and receiver of taxes in the area

These papers document the activities of one of Englands most notable families. From the early years there is the journal of George Trimmer Savile, Marquis of Halifax of his conversations with William III; 145 boxes of the correspondence of Georgiana Poyntz, wife of the first Earl.

Thomas Barlow, Bodleys Librarian 1652-60, identifield the contents of the MS on p22 and Anthony Wood wrote his name and the date 1670 at the end of the text. The original document belonged to Thomas Cole in 1670 and reached the Bodleian in 1755 in the bequest of Thomas Rawlinson

Parts of this diary were published by William Barnes the Dorset dialect poet

Cummins wrote the first biography of Edith Somerville, based largely on 366 letters written to her by Somerville, now gathered into this collection together with Cummins own records of her visits to the Somerville household in Co. Cork.

570 letters bound into 11 volumes by the Chester bookseller J Seacombe shortly after Mrs Piozzis death. The Williams family were neighbours of the Piozzis in Wales and amongst their closest friends. Due to an early threat of legal action, the letters remained largely unknown and unpublished until their arrival at the library

The firm of Peter Stubs became Britains principal supplier of precision files and watchmakers tools at the end of the 18th century. The papers consist of invoices and receipts for tools, materials, lathes, bells and clock movements
